FOR SALE: Morrison (Named after Van Morrison) is a 1966 16ft Duralvan, We renovated this van for our corporate client, Clarke Rubber. We striped out the internals, however, we were fortunate enough to retain the vintage internal overhead cabinetry which was still in reasonable condition.
Our client wanted to keep the layout true to the vintage era, so we recreated the cabinetry to look like it was in 1966.
We were able to re condition the existing fixtures, door hardware which is always a bonus as these gorgeous vintage pieces are as rare as hens teeth. We re wired the van, fitted a reverse cycle ducted air con, installed a beautiful oak bench top, bedside table. We installed a large skylight to allow loads of light in to drench the space and also allow for stargazing at night.
The chassis and drawbar was given a full overhaul, sandblast, rust protection, new mechanics, brakes, hitch rims, whitewall tyres and vintage chrome hubcaps. We also installed all new window harware, glazing, glazing wedges, seals and locks.
The seating and queen bed mattress are made from sensational graphene memory foam to keep you nice and cool during those hot summer nights and both are just a dream to sit on. To finish off the build, we gave Morrison a two pack paint job in the clients chosen corporate colour scheme. Morrison was offered as a prize and the lucky winner sadly needs part ways with him now due to their expanding family, hence Morrison is now up for sale.
